Engine Warning Light

I have a 1992 import and a while ago while driving down a dirt track with long grass in the middle the engine warning light came on, with a sequence of 11 flashes. The problem has calmed down now but the light comes on intermittently. Toyota want to put it on their diagnostic machine (the vehicle is at the moment kept in Portugal) but it has already been tested by a local auto-elect. garage on a brand new Toyota machine,with no fault showing up. Has any one else had this problem and does anyone know of the website which has an explanation of the light sequences. There does not seem any problem with the performance of the vehicle and it only recently passed inspection. Advance thanks to anyone who can shed any light on this (sorry about the pun!)
