I only joined a few weeks ago as i bought a toyota, first time ive joined any forum or owners club in fact!,however it seems to me that most people just wanna moan and complain about their vehicle or their dearler, which is very off putting not to mention boring. Why dont they just enjoy their ride and accept that all dealers and all models may have probs ,design faults or maybe just characteristics.

Thank you to all the people who just enjoy and love to show off there vehicle,as this is the best part of the forum seeing the photos and the keen interest of another members project, hard work and money ,which we can all share

Forums are an excellent idea.

The downside is that you have to suffer unfortunate people with massive chips on their shoulders but this is more than outweighed by the upside. The upside is that you come across contributors who are extremely knowledgeable, experienced, enthusiastic and who are willing to give freely of their time to help other members sort out problems. I estimate that over the last five years I have saved over £3000 in garage charges by taking advice from such contributors on other forums when I had the misfortune to own a Rover and a Renault.

Forums of cars that meet expectations, have high quality, high reliability and and fun to drive , will always have more "happy People" than those forums that have to deal with vehicles that have not met the users expectations...

Through the sharing of Forum information you can gain common benefit and use it to enhance your user experience.

I will leave it at that and keep it positive...it could be a lot worse , you could be in a Fiat owners forum   :ffs:

Hi Toytech,

I agree 100% with your comments, I have been a forum member for a little while now, but have only ( in the last few days or so) been bothered to go back on to see what is what, and lo and behold, same old nonsense, moan moan moan.

It becomes a total bore and switch off to me.

For the record, I have an SR180 in white, white alloys, full bodykit, sunroof, keyless entry, push button start and I LOVE IT!

Sure, I have a had a couple of issues (yes, a couple) and they were sorted immediately by Mr T (RMB Darlington) without fuss or aggro.

Any manufacturer of cars can have issues, it just seems to me that Mr T gets more nonsense thrown at him than most, but I appreciate, those unfortunate enough to have problems, understandably get up tight, however and as mentioned earlier, the forum to me should (and in the main, it is) be there to share and enjoy each others cars/ideas.

I for one do enjoy checking out forum members motors and ideas.

That's me done.

Welcome to TOC and enjoy your Toyota.

Best wishes

Paul

All car forums, to a greater or lesser extent, suffer from moans and groans.

We have to accept that this is multi model forum and not one dedicated to a single car, it must therefore come across as suffering multiple problems. However, given the number of owners using this forum you would probably be pleased to find that there are really quite few groans.

I am extremely happy with my current car and was equally happy with my previous one as is my wife, but my daughter has had a huge amount of grief from hers.... not too bad a ratio I suggest thumbsup.gif

Get over to the General Discussions forum and join in the banter there yes.giflaugh.gif

I've a T180, and for a car that cost not much short of £20k new I'm very disappointed in the sub standard build quality. So yeah, it pisses me off when things keep going wrong with it and I like a moan about it. Having had the car 2mths, and having to keep going back to Toyota, well... it doesn't make me want to talk about anything other than that. The cars been a source of stress and little enjoyment so far, it's got to the point every time I go over a bump something falls off the interior!
