Hi guys I have had my aygo for 2 weeks and tonight my n/s headlight has gone dim, and i got my green dipped beam light, but a dim blue high beam light come up on my dash, i have swapped my bulbs over to see if this was the problem, but it is not, i think there might be a wiring fault, but thought I would ask you guys first as i dont really want to drive a 60mile round trip to a dealer and back

Just to clear up......

When you have dipped headlights switched on and the green

light is on the dashboard, your N/S headlight is dim.

You then switch to main beam, the blue light is on the dashboard,

your N/S headlight is still dimmer than the O/S ?

Is that correct?

Normally this would indicate that the groundwire for the bulb has come loose, but since our

cars use a switched NEGATIVE for the headlights the common is wired to +12V continous...

This being the case, a blown fuse would be most likely: each headlight has its own fuse...

Have a look in the fusebox behind the Battery, there's a row of fuses top lefthand side when looking

at the car from the front. Second and third POSITION from the left on that row are for the headlamps.

It's important to note the POSITION for the fuses, as there are several positions that aren't filled

at all times, depending on engine and trimlevel... They should be 10A, so red in color.

Hope this helps,

Jan van de wouw u earned yourself a gold star as it was the fuse that had gone on the car which shows that it was made right but they don't make fuses like they use to

Glad to hear you got it sorted out. Shoudl the fuse blow again I'd still change the bulb too though!
