being an import makes no difference , its the same parts on the uk market model . you can even get imports insured as uk models now with some insurers cos they know parts dont have to be shipped from japan anymore. its all a scam .

they are all imports in a way as they all come from japan , none were ever built in the uk .

any idea what size nut the cv joint retainig nut is? ive heard its about 30mm ish?

its around 28 to 32 mm off the top of me head. deep socket iirc.

cheers mate,any idea whether mine has abs or not? its a 1996 celica gt 2.0 import

look for the abs pump modulator on the left side of the engine bay .

Got a new problem now, went to drive around corner to the garage at work and selected first and nothing when I bring the clutch up, tried putting it in first and pushing it and u could still push it, an ideas?

check the rods going to the top of the gearbox are moving ok , if you can engage 1st with the engine off , it maybe the clutch is foobarred .

could it have nothing to do with the lh driveshaft hanging out?

ah well if its out alltogether then yes of course , drive always goes to the free wheel .
