Starting Iq 2 Auto

hi has anyone have the same problem as me or am i the only one? iq 2 auto keyless entry, sometimes when i go to start car ,put foot on brake press start nothing happens, the green light flashes, this happens for about 5 minets, just about to call a breakdown truck then it starts,thanks for any help you can give, as its sending me mad.

I've never had any problems like that.

Have you tried changing the Battery in your key?

thanks turniphead i have tried changing the Battery in the key, its still the same, it dont do it every time i start the carits about every 30th start.

Have the dealer check the computer for errorcodes.

hi thanks for asking, its still the same ive not had the time to take it in yet, it will only do it about every 25th start, then it takes about 5 min to start the car.rgs roger.

Have them take it in and have them arrange alternative transport for as long as it takes to have it sorted out and fixed.

I had this issue a couple of weeks ago. I took it back to Mr T, they looked over the car, checked the error codes, replaced the key fob batteries but nothing explained the issue. However, silver lining was they found an issue with the clutch and the brakes. Still never got down the non-starting issue.

Does it happen in the same parking space or is the place random ?

I had a similar problem with a Discovery and found out that the local radio interference from a large telephone exchange caused the problem. Why mine ? and not a couple of other Discos nearby I have no Idea.

Change of parking place by 200 yrds , no more trouble.

I had this problem on my IQ2 5 weeks ago i was in halesowen shopping centre

multi storey car park and this happened put foot on brake radio came on

and the start button flashing green and orange Kep trying and started

in the end Just put it down to being in a multi storey car park and

the key fob signal was not geting though. been 100% alright so far
