Pollen Filter

just had the pollen filter out from behind the glove box and its pretty black in appearance,bought it about 6 weeks ago, was serviced by dealer two weeks before during there ownership, cant believe its got this colour in this period, dont think they changed it ?

anyhow please could someone tell me if it goes back width ways or length ways,cant remember which way i took it out, book shows a picture with the "up" marks showing facing out which would indicate it goes back in length ways , just dosnt look right that way ?

Length ways. Agree it does look odd as if it is not big enough.

The dealer will only change the filter if it is due at that particular service.

Just had my Corolla Verso serviced (70000).Main dealer suggested a new pollen filter, I informed them that the current one was only 10 months old and that I clean it out every 3-4 months, dealer wanted £44 to supply and fit, last time I purchased one from main dealer it was £22, so is that £22 to fit, it takes approx 3 mins to diy, just another Toyota parts/service ripoff ??
