Tappety Engine 5Efe

My engine sounds a little tappety. Are 5efe engines hydrolic or shimmed tappets? Do i need to have the head re shimmed or do I need to do an oil change and use a thicker grade oil. I currently use 10w40 semi synth Mobil super s.

the head is shimmed, non hydraulic. the oil doesn't seem to be too far out, might want to go for 5w40 though, dependent on temperature local to you.
