Very High Idle Rpm When Started

Hi all, I have a 1990 Toyota Stallion, with a new carburetor. Winter hit, and I left it for two weeks in the cold until the Battery died, then recharged the Battery and got it starting fine. But when it starts up, it revs like a jet engine. It does this even if the choke is off. It is crazy loud, and I turn it off after 5 seconds. I haven't done anything since I last drove it... does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Daniel
