Noisy Below The Bonnet!

I am new to the forum but have owned my Yaris Verso for two years and am very pleased with it.

However, recently I have noticed that the engine is noisy especially when starting and pulling off in low gear . A gurgling /whine which diappears when you change up gears. The car is a 1.3 petro auto with 50000 miles on clock. Drives smoothly on open road .

When car is on driveway and engine idling it is quite noisy changing momentum with clicking noise occasionally. There can be a noise similar to loose change going round the drum of a washing machine.

Toyota has suggested that drive belt may need changing , but there are two of them?

Any ideas please?
