Snow + Crap Council = 3 1/2 Hour Journey Home

Unbelievable, it has taken me three hours to drive the two miles across Bath tonight. Traffic was gridlocked for no reason at all, apart from the fact that the council in their infinite wisdom decided not to bother salting or gritting most of the roads.

Result: Snow settles, douzens of cars sliding uncontrollably down hills. I don't think I've ever been more scared! Stuck in traffic going up a hill, cars sliding down the other side how I never got hit I don't know!!

Anyone else had any interesting journeys today?

Yeah, my sister took 2 1/2 hours to drive 3 miles home from the centre of Bristol!!! same sort of situation, the council hadnt gritted the road and there was a 5 car pileup on that steep hill outside the BRI.
