can anyone help i have recently brought a 2005 avensis which has a built in satnav i do not have a disc is there anyway of turning off just the satnav display as it just says insert dvd

it is a tns 300 with turn by turn display

is it possible to remove the dvd player part would that turn the display in to one that has not got a sat nav

I checked the number ( 08664-009630) on the Toyota web site and it has an update disc PtNo PZ485-TTBEU-09

This update is also covers PtNo.08927-00971 2004-2005 Vers 2 that's in my -55- T4

problem solved

removed pass seat and unpluged all cables

now no more INSERT DVD ROM
