Wing Damage When Tyre Replaced.

Hi

I took my car to get the front drivers side tyre replaced problem is they have damaged the wing.

Seems they have used a normal car jacking point and crushed where the wing connects to the sill under the car.

They have tried to fix it but it is still out to far compared to the plastic lining the wheel arch also where the wing connects to

the a-pillar the wing is higher.

Anyone else had this ? I knew this happened as I had seen it in one of the Jap car mags, they had a white SR180 and the tyre

place did exactly the same to their car. I just forgot to mention it to the tyre place to be careful.

I am going to go back to the place tomorrow, but I have been away for 2 weeks so they might tell me to do one.

Cheers

Andy

Bad luck mate, Just a word of advice a subtle hint of further legal action might get a better response from that company

  • 2 weeks later...

So i went back and the place admitted it was their fault, and have booked me in with a local body shop they use.

They even said they didn't realise the Auris was like that. And have advised all the fitters to be careful with

Auris'. This must happen a fair bit so anyone with an Auris should make sure they have a word when the take the car to a tyre fitters..
