How To Make A Backup Of Sat Nav Dvd

How do I make a backup of my Sat Nav Map DVDs?

With the help of my grandson my Sat Nav DVD is now a bit scratched.

I thought I would just copy & burn it onto a DVD+R DL disc.

Easier said than done!!! Sat Nav unit reports unable to read the data.

I now have a set of coasters but still only one working DVD (but for how long?)

Any ideas?

My computer cannot read the disc without the necessary software but can copy the data but because of the volume of info a double layer DVD is required to burn a copy.
