which engine ???

3S-GE, 2.0L automatic,

first thing is to check how many wires its got , the 1 you need is under the car , id suspect its got 4 wires , you have a few options here - fit a universal sensor , goto toyota and buy the original or try these 2 places -- http://www.tcbparts.co.uk/ Celica ST202 (1995 -onwards) 2.0 3S-GE engine

Lambda Sensor ( screw in type) Genuine Toyota

Part number: 89465-20490

Price: £138.82 + vat

this may be the one for your car . you'd need to call to confirm

or try these guys who list 3sge sensors for the mr2 but its the same engine http://www.justlambda.co.uk/ single wire = £46 4 wire = £55 .

universal 1 wire = £40 universal 4 wire = £50 ,, you'd need to call again to confirm fitment .

lots of other places online if you google lambda sensors = http://www.worldcarparts.co.uk/Default.aspx?TabId=144&ProductID=1314 . or maybe even try these guys £35 on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Direct-fit-TOYOTA-Celica-Oxygen-Lambda-O2-Sensor-/250452044890?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a501aec5a hope this helps .

some are screwed into the 2 bolt plate ,the plate comes with the sensor or its a part of the actual sensor housing, you would need to check this also , advise lashings of wd40 on it cold before trying to remove bolts otherwise they snap in place. my advise would be to call a dealership , give them your vin plate and ask question them what part number it is , they sometimes with hold this info , but some give it , if you pm me the full chassis , frame , vin numbers i can take a look on the toyota epc for you , but id need all the numbers from the vin plate .

ps - £500 is taking the mickey as its a 10 minute job to replace .
