Problem With Central Locking

I own a 2005 Verso 160. The problem is that if I press the remote to lock (all) the doors all except the right hand side rear door locks. The locking unit in the door makes a grinding noise when the remote button is pressed, but the door remains unlocked. After manually locking the door (by using the door locking switch) the door however unlocks when the remote is pressed. Do I need to replace the central locking unit in the door or is it just a setting,etc that has to be reprogrammed. Thanx

it's all down to dirt

try cleaning it, a lot of wd40 and many attempts at closing and opening it with the remote

I have the same problem, but the rear door on other side. Trying to get the panel off to inspect, but do not want to force panel and break something.
