Hello all.

Me & the misses went out last Saturday & manged to chop in our old V plate Focus for a nice 08 Platinum Aygo, picking it up this Friday, chuffed to nuts with it

Other than the Focus I used to own a Mazda MX5 which had been my pride & joy for 10 years, as we dont need 2 cars anymore we decided its best to save money & get just 1 which is cheap to run, it was a between the Aygo & the 107,the Aygo came up best for a good price (which is what I hoped for as I prefer the styling), great to see a forum devoted to my new project.

Already been looking at the TTE kit, would like to lower it too but that'll come with time.

At the moment the stereo & Speakers will be the 1st little touches. anyone have any recomendations on Speakers?

Can anyone tell me of any other little mods that can be done?

Also I looked at the 107 XS sport (with the stripes) are there any aygo owners here that went for stripes? be keen to see how it looks.

I got loads of other questions but ill hold out for now

Thanks all, well, picked her up today, love it.

Just thinking of a reason to go out so I can take it for a spin again, itls like im 17 again!

as going to get the basic model, but really wanted AC, then the Platinum had the half leather, just had to get it.

One other thing I really wanted was a rev counter, so got it fitted as a extra.

1st job is the stereo, whats the best way to remove the old stereo? (dont want to damage anything).

Also I see in the "How to" how to fit front Speakers. As I have six Speakers, is it best to replace the door ones 1st? Again any help would be most greatful.

Looks great man i personally didn't go with Rev counter personally i have just learned the maximum gear speeds and learn to listen to the car

for when it needs a gear change maybe something i will do in the future i dunno

Max gear speeds

1st = 30

2nd = 60

3rd = 85

4th = 98

Anyway i see you got a glove box lid im thinking about gettting one just for the complete look inside the car and i love the half leather gives the car a more expensive feel, im not to bothered about the sound system in my car i can hear the radio so im not gonna complain really :P

I also see you have the old Leather gear knob i couldn't stand it so i got the Aliminum and Leather Aygo knob

Inside of my car a few weeks ago the vent surrounds and speedo housing is back on attempted to paint them it failed so i gave up :P

It wasn't till I looked at another Aygo that I relised the glove box was a extra! I do like the idea of being able to hide some things from view.

The leather wasn't on the list of things I wanted form a Aygo, just happen to stumble across this one, so it was a bit of a bonus.

I see what you mean about the gear knob, think that'll have to be 1st on the list. was that one fitted to the newer Aygos? Ill get searchin on eBay

Found my one on eBay i talked the guy who was selling them his aution ended but he had two left so i sent hime £12 over paypal and it came within a week from germany yer its the one from the newer cars Toyota charge £100+ for it :D so real bargin the Guys eBay user name is tigerlily2712

he works for Toyota Europe he told me he had two left so he might have that one left :) PumpkinSteve from this site told me about it in the first place and he bought one too :)

Becasue the driver side Mat is dangerous and slips during harsh braking and catches the clutch i took it out but when its wet the plastic that my heel rests on becomes like ice and my foot slips on the clutch

Welcome newbie! lol. Aygo Blue here. Great wee car. Had her for 12 months now, and the last few weeks I ve sound insulated the car. Recently got rear mudflaps to fit, and thats me looking for kick plates already.

one thing though you may wanna look at larger rear wiper to for obv reasons took car out last night in proper heavy rain to test and the rear visibility is so much better with one you only go from 300m to 400m but it make a diffrence

What happened to your wiper arm? It should park horizontally, on top of one of the rear screen heater wires...

hmmm should it i dunno maybe it got pushed down or something never noticed that before it works thats the main things its been like that since i bought it, ive had the car for a year now and iv'e had no problems with it but thanks for pointing it out if i have any problems i know exactly where to go
