Power Loss / Dip

This has been getting slowly worse / more regular in the last couple of weeks.

Problem is car seems to drive fine but when trying to accelerate mostly in 3rd gear and not so often in 4th the Revs race up but does not have effect on road speed just for about 3 seconds then car seems to pick up speed. It is always around 2500 rpm and shoots up to around 3000 rpm

Initially I thought clutch slipping but I have no problem at any other speed or full load.

I am now thinking turbo not kicking in ??

Car has done 15K and still has 18 months warranty.

Would be nice to have some ideas before I confront Mr T.

The obvious ones are turbo or turbo control (vsv), fuel filter (especially if something has got into the fuel), SCV/fuel pump but TBH there are lots of other things. Your trouble is going to be getting it to do it for the dealer and the lack of fault codes.

All you can do is start the process and get it booked in.

I agree with what you say .... the "intermittent" fault is always a curse.

My hope was someone was going to reply with " I had exactly the same thing and....."

thanks for reply.
