Celica Purchase

Some help please, my son has his eye on a 55 plate Celica at the local Mr T

Me being an Avensis owner I am well aware of the oil issues with the VVTi engines. Does the Celica on that plate still have the problems.

Anything I should be looking out for

As I am aware only the pre-facelift models were affected by the oil problem. The facelift model first came out in the 52 reg.

The 55 reg. models were one of the last ones to be made.

My son has a 55 plate 'Red' one, a superb car with red leather seats and trim.

An excellent choice of car, but it must have full Toyota service history!

£9K will buy a top of the range GT, that 140 is the basic spec. without either of the two optional "packs".

£6K would be close to its true value, I'd look elsewhere and be wanting the "Premium" pack (Leather/Climate/Sunroof).
