Help required.

Can anybody tell me if the Avensis is sold in the U.S.A & if so what name does it go under. I have a MK11 2003 D4D 1CD-FTV cambelt driven engine, unfortunately the EGR valve has packed in. Need to change part as soon as possible before damaging Turbo. Found American site selling brand new Delphi EGR (top quality) valves, but they have no listing for the Avensis. This engine must be fitted to some of the american models, any help would be much appreciated.

Regards, Beagh.

Hi mate, found this company for you http://www.247spares.co.uk/browse/exhausts/egr-valves?gclid=CNXnl5TNlqMCFRdBlAodvnpupQ#top they do ask for your reg number so may not work in Ireland, worth a try though. In regards to your USA model I don't think they would use a 2.0 diesel over there, more like a 4 litre V8 petrol :D.

Best regards and thanks for your last PM to me.

Pete.

Hello Peter.

See PM. Tried that company, no luck. It would appear no one on this site has ever had a problem with their EGR valve, good luck & thanks for the reply.

Hello again, is the mechanical or electrical side of the valve that has failed? Just thinking that someone may have an old one that you could make one good one out of the two. I bet quite a few Toyota dealers have put a new assembly on when it was just blocked up with carbon. Lets hope someone on the forum will come up with something for you,;).

Best regards .... Pete.

Why not PM Parts King to get it from him at a discounted price? Always helps me out with parts, and my car is over 20 years old!

I'm sure he will reply quickly.

Thank's for the replies lad's. Have tried Parts-King, who has seen me right many many times in the past, but just a little to pricey this time. Valve is as clean as a shiney new thing, mechanical side problem, the pintel/valve is moving from side to side like a worn valve in a valve guide. Original part is Denso, just thought some of the mechanics on the site may know of a motor factor selling unit at a keen price. Doesn't have to be a OEM part, any other brand will do just as well.
