Hi Guys

Just had my 10,000 mile service and the Lumber support fixed, the thing kept making a noise everytime you moved in your seat. The fix is a recognised one from Toyota

Stompe, do you have any further details of the 'fix'. I took mine in for service yesterday and asked for the lumber support 'noise' to be fixed. After reading your post, I mentioned to them that there was a 'fix' for the problem, but they knew nothing about it. Of course when i took it in, it had stopped squeaking so I couldn't demonstrate it to them. So they suggested living with it for a while to see if it the problem returns.

I'm sure one of the members who works for a dealers would like to comment. There are quite a few squeak and rattle 'fixes' for the Prius gen3. I've had a seat base replaced along with a new seat belt bracket and the center console bracket fixed (of sorts). My lumber support did squeak (after being driven for a while) and when I reported it at service it hasn't squeaked since, though they never said they'd fixed it either.

My dealer did a replacement of the drivers seat to eleviate my noises.

Apparently, Toyota UK wanted an example of a problem seat.

oh the joy of driving ever so silently

I spoke to the area manager of my area who said get the dealer to phone him and he will give them the details, it involves putting some padding between the lumber support and the cover to stop the rubbing which caused the noise, im sure the Dealer you use should be able to get the info needed, but my Dealer is Coronation at Kirby Cross nr Clacton im sure they would pass the details on to your dealer!
