Hi everyone

I have signed up after lurking and looking at other members' posts for a few days. I bought a 57 plate Rave4 T180 in Yew Green last week and am still finding my way around it (her?). As usual, am beating myself up and wondering if I have made the right decision after dithering over Rav4/CRV/Freelander/X-Trail choice. Hoping lots of input from other members reassuring me I have made the right choice.

Hi and welcome........you lurker!

T180 is a great vehicle, the very nature of a forum means you will find people who want to complain about a product, but RAV is a great vehicle and I'm sure you will love it. If you need any parts and accessories or want to chip tune it, give me a shout

Kingo

Hi Tametiger,

went through the same scenario (lurking),as you did. These guys seem to know their RAV`s.I also have just become the new owner of a `56 Yew Green T180.Amazingly spec`d vehicle, neither the XT4 or the XT-R seemed to combine what I was after,so took the plunge on the T180.Just a little apprehensive about the run flat tyres,as I will be going to take it to France fairly regularly. There is a lot of talk here about cutting the retaining rings & fitting regular tyres, when the run flats come up for changing.Something I`ll have to look into. You have any thoughts on the subject.Where in Suffolk you based? My old man comes from Halesworth.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I didn't know anything about the run-flat saga when I bought my car and the salesman didn't tell me either (no surprise there). Not sure what to do about mine as the back tyres look nearly new and the fronts have a few more thousand miles before I have to think about replacing (I refuse to even think about punctures - too scary). Am researching locally to see if I can find a cheaper alternative to the dealership's quote of £278 per tyre, without ring.

This is a great forum and beats Mumsnet!

Sorry Monitor - I am near Bury St Edmunds but I did live in Shropshire for some years - near Ludlow.
