Gt4 St185 Wont Run Right Please Help

hi i dropped a recon engine in my st185 import now it starts and idles beautifully when cold but then idles rougher and rougher till it cuts out when warming up.

checked everything all vacuum pipes are fine every sensor is connected i just cant figure it out (even checked compression on my recon engine and thats fine too).

so if anyone has any ideas why it would do this please let me know i am at the end of my rope

hello mate, have you checked to see if you are getting any error codes?

maybe a cold start issue , sounds like poor fueling ??

update there was a code in the ecu i cleared em out and it ran fine but in limp mode giving the code for knock sensor, fitted it today and now it has no codes and runs like a bag of **** again getting worse when warm till it cuts out

i cant understand though cause it was running fine other than the knock sensor limiting me to 3k revs now it runs awful

could be a fault cold start sensor. or a leaky cold start injector. cant remember off the top of my head if its the brown or blue sensor on the water elbow (follow the top rad hose to the cylinder head) that is the cold start switch.

changed the blue one which was the engine coolant temp sensor and no different so will try the other one as well and see if that helps
