Toyota Levin Running Very Rich

hi anyone had this problem with there bzr levin, its running very rich and failed the nct test twice on emission very high the car is running alrite but when you drive it hard through the gears past 5000 rpm when you pull in it runs very rough really low idle, i have tried everything i can think of all the sensors, plugs,dizzy cap,02 sensor,cat,etc still cant get any joy any help would be great thanks.

what about yout fuel filter, or perhaps your knock sensor??

How many KM or Miles has it got?

You alterneted with anything in the engine bay resently?

Battery old?

Hows it ideling when hot were is the rpm?

Engine light showing?

My monney is on faulty electric such as grounds, faulty Battery alternator or coils sparkplugs and wires, and or the MAP sensor.

I just had a similar failure from the nct this week with my '96 BZG, turned out to be a MAP sensor.

You can check this easily by using a jumper wire from E1 to TE1 in the diagnostic port under the bonnet.

Once bridged turn the ignition on and the engine management light will blink out the fault code
