please can someone help me? My very much loved reliable old carina e won't start anymore and the garage and 'specialist' they called in can't find out why.

It went into the garage to have a new ignition lock fitted as the key got stuck inside it on the Friday. It started up and I drove it the half mile home. It wasn't used then until Monday when it then wouldn't start, we tried charging the Battery and then called the breakdown man, who thought it was the fuel pump as he couldn't smell petrol at all and towed it back to the garage where it has been over a week now. They can only suggest taking it to a Toyota specialist now.

It has always started in the 11 years we've owned it and I don't want to lose it now. Has anyone got any advice?

Thanks

Mandy

once i had same problem with peugeot 406 after changing locks,

then just peugeot dealer helped, they programed my ecu and it started spot on.

i believe its going to be the same prob.

try to consult with toyota dealer, see what they say.

good luck
