Brilliant little car this, it's so roomy inside, easy to park and i've been averaging 52MPG :)!

How does the smaller engine cope in a car this size? Does it feel underpowered at all?

I thought it would but it doesnt at all, it's really nippy and very frugal, on the motorway in 6th its pulling about 2.7-2.8k revs and quiet as anything, can't even hear it! My friend has an older honda civic thats a 1.6 doing 4k at 70....

It depends what you use it for though, I don't floor it just cruise along so for me its perfect, if you wanted a super fast car then this engine would not be the best choice... but its nippy enough for me

Road and tyre noise is very low, wind noise is very low and its extremely comfortable, the seats are so nice too compared to my corsa, feel like i could sit in them for days and be comfy still

As I should be picking up my Auris in a couple of days, it was good to read

your thoughts on your car, after a test drive and agreeing the deal, i signed

up here and came on to read what others thought, and was a bit concerned with what

seems a lot of problems with the car, so I will see for myself soon but thanks

It's more in peoples nature to complain than praise in pretty much anything though!

If you like the car then go for it, I had lots of concerns over the Auris from coming on here... but i'm happy to see they were all squashed when I got in the drivers seat and turned the key... all the 'issues' just didn't seem to spring up like they said!
