More to the point is, Will the master cylinder push out sufficient fluid for the calipers? If not you'll find the pedal going too far down before the brakes take hold.

To get a rough idea, compare the piston surface areas of the two calipers.

iv put the 1.6 ones on my corolla and got this problem.. the brakes ware sooo much better, but the pedal goes down abit before the brakes take hold...

any way around this? any solutions?

anyone?

Hi mate,

with respect have you tried the Corolla forum or have you already had no luck there?

I don't wish to sound boring but even though you are aiming to improve your car your insurance company may not like it so don't forget to inform them or at least enquire before you spend you time and money, I went though all this a few years back when modifiying Ford Escort RS's and Minis and even though the cars brakes were better than standard they loaded the insurance by quite a lot, if you don't tell them you are not insured!

Regards Pete.
