Stone Guard Removal

Hey everyone - just got my 05 Celica last week and LOVE IT...few things i need to sort before i get it done up nicley - having trouble already suprise suprise second hand garage was crap....The stone guard underneath the driver side came off over a speed bump - is it safe and simple enough to just leave it off as im told it will prob just happen again and it is safe enough to drive without it?

ok without it . i once owned an old mr2 and all four were rotten , so i pulled them all off without any issues at all.

Thanks matey - just noticed the reply - i got it serviced and told them to stick it back on - it comes off again its getting flung! - if you know anything about audio check my other post!
