Toyota Avensis 1.8 Gs 1998

i was out shopping came back to car and wont start RAC gave report of loss of spark, feed from crank sensor 1.3v and RAC browser lists a fault with fuel pressure sensor?

I have searched forums for simaler problems but so many for simaler fault but no mention of fuel pressure sensor!!!

he could not do a diagnostic check as age of car would not allow

has anyone had simaler problem?

the car turns over and nearly starts but nothing more, fuel is getting through as after a while you can smell it as obviously flooding engine

the immobiliser works fine and always has

the key in ignition works fine aswell since these were problems in earlier forums

any advise would be appreciated as baffled by this problem even the RAC guy did`nt have a clue as was going on another RAC guys previous report

and yes i did get towed home :(
