New Auris Hybrid Dog Guard

Hi all,

I'm in the process of getting a new Auris Hybrid. My previous Auris (07 TR) has little metal brackets in the boot to which I screw my Toyota supplied dog guard to. I have however noted the Auris Hybrid seems to be missing these brackets (and indeed all the facelift versions appear to have them missing). I've asked my dealer what my options are but he hasn't got back to me yet, so I'm just wondering what other people have done?

Cheers.

There is NO specific dog guard yet for Auris Hybrid, I suppose your only option would be something after market

That's what I suspect I will have to do. It’s a bit annoying that Toyota have removed the brackets (especially as the original Toyota guard I have cost over £150!) - I guess it saves them a few quid on each car.

Has anyone any good suggestions for aftermarket products? In the past I've used the tubular type guards that you can buy from Halfords but they are rubbish!

Thanks.

What Car did a product test in February 2010, and their best buy was a Mont Blanc Deluxe dog guard available from www.petsathome.co.uk for £ 49.99 (presumably the price back in Feb). This attaches to the rear headrests. Have a look at www.whatcar.com and search for 'dog guards'.

Thanks for the replies.

Picked the new car up yesterday and can confirm that the Toyota original dog guard does not fit the Auris HSD. In the end I went for the Mont Blanc from Pets at Home (still £49.99). Fits very nicely and doesn't rattle.
