Squeaking Noise!

Hi All.....i have a problem with my Celica that 4 mechanics haven't been able to fix! I have a squeaking noise coming from my rear driver side wheel that starts after i've been driving for about 5-10 minutes, it goes when i press the brakes which seems to be the difference with most other people who say they have a squeaking noise! I've replaced the brake pads, discs, handbrake shoes and i replaced the calipers with second hand ones as I've run out of money so couldn't afford new ones! Anybody any ideas what else it could be as its driving me insane!

Hi craig i had the same problem with my car after having new break pads/discs fitted, like you it drove me crackers and did nothing for my image lol,but it has stopped, perhaps your car will settle with more wear and tear!!!

Take off the disc and take a look at the backing plate that sits inside the drum (where the handbrake assembly sits onto). Check this plate for any tell-tale signs of wear due to friction (it will be scratched clear)

My guess is that this plate is rubbing against the inside of the drum.
