Where To Begin

Hi there, I'm new to this forum. I financed a 2003 GT-S about a year ago (March 03), and now that summer is coming up and I'm going to be working full time again, I'd like to invest a little money in my car. I'd like to get out a little more power (just because I'm a 21 year old male.) And I'd also like to do a little something about the handling, because my friend's Mini Cooper can out-corner me.

I was just looking for some advice in terms of what people think are a good idea for cold air induction systems(I'm had my eye on the AEM kit). And I'd also like to do something to tighten up the suspension, and maybe drop the car an inch. What do people around here have in there cars? Anything to avoid?

--Also, is there an easy way to disable the beeping sound when I put the 6-speed into reverse?

Thanks a lot... I look forward to hearing some responses and having discussions with you all in the future.
