Hi guys and girls

Just signed up to the forum and currently having a noisy around, My Mrs wants to buy her first car and fancies a used Aygo. We had a test drive in one today and enjoyed it. I was surprised how much room there is in the front (i'm 6"4) and how well screwed together they are

Anyway we are on the lookout for a 2005-7 3 door Aygo ideally a sport but will consider a plus. Must be silver or black with appropriate history. budget is up to £5,000ish so if anybody knows any available, i'd be grateful of a point in the right direct

welcome Dano. We bought my wife an Aygo at the end of June, great little car. as you say loads of room in the front and I'm 6'6" !

Very economical, comfortable ride, boot is a little on the small side, but hey, put the shopping on the back seat and take it straight home from Tesco's!!

As for finding one, you say you're in Essex but not where but have a look at Lookers Rayleigh website, they usually have some in stock...

Hello Dan,

Bought mine at Belle Vue Motors, ex Motability Lease, low miles with full Toyota history, they have a couple of Aygo's at the moment. I would recommend giving them a look, great customer service too, may be a little over your budget but found them to give a more straight forward and fair deal than the main dealers.

Or of course try Toyota.

Hey Dano i found my Aygo on Auto trader, great car few niggles but sorted by buying parts for my car worth every penny. :D good luck and hope you find your perfect Aygo if you want Silver aygo they only Available as special editions Platinum and also Black is the black special edition

Cheers - found a 1 owner 08 platinum (no aircon though) for 5.3k which we are going to have a look at tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

I'ts got the same spoiler as mine! Nice, as you don't see many at all.(think they are nearly £300 painted and fitted!)

If the car's not right, walk away and get a different one. There are loads about. :)

So went to view it today and have put a deposit down. Quick rundown of the spec is

Original Toyota warrenty till June 11

Tax till June 11

1 owner from new

Originally bought and serviced twice at the local Toyota dealer 12k and 24k so the 3rd year service due in April 2011

Current mileage 25k

alloys - mint

Bodywork - mint

Interior - mint

It drove superbly on the test drive - no rattles, strange noises, very well screwed together and the biting point of the clutch was in the middle of the pedal travel

Pick it up i a week so my Mrs is really happy!

Just have a nose around the front brake pads before driving off. We looked at one which had done 23k and the front brakes were shot. Barely any pads and heavily scored disks.
