That looks like a great bit of work there, I will be very interested in the dyno test results.

Thanx! I'll keep you posted!

Hi

Interesting build you have. You didnot mention what exhaust manifold you used in your build... im guessing you used the original 4zz?

i'm planning to do my 3zz build like you did (crank, pistons, conrods, intake and TB) and hopefully gain something out of it. Much nicer if i would swap the 2zz-ge but being a daily car that would be too peaky for the job.

Hi.

Yes I kept the 4zz exchaust manifold. The only changes I made exchaust-wise were:

1. Removed the pre-catalyst.

2. Installed a TS backbox

There is a lot of work for the 2zz. You need wirings, brakes, gearbox, even the whole dashbord/rev meters etc. It can be done though.

did you happen to notice if the drive pulleys of the 1ZZ and the 4ZZ were one and the same....

if it is, I was planning to get some Ralco underdrive pulleys for my 3ZZ.

I would like to work with the contention that if they are the same.. they made the same size across all the engines.

I think that the 1zz pulley must be slightly bigger/heavier.

thanks for that...

been contemplating if I'm gonna get the Ralco RC underdrive pulleys.

their tech support isn't much help with the engine configs.

I dynotested the car on Saturday morning with the airbox-cone filter-patent (I don't know how to discribe it- LOL) and the results were more than anticipated.

The car produced 147.1Hp at 6400rpm and 18,5kgrms of torque at 4700rpm.

This means, compared to my last dynorun on December with the standard airbox, that I got 6hp and about 1kgrm of torque more.(!)

The car was stronger in all the rpm range.

I also got a video. Just watch how fast the km/h needle moves.

W.O.W...

I'd to get to work in say 30secs if i had that much power! Nice one mate! :football:

Good day I've been reading this post very informative.

Can this same process be done to a 3zz engine too?

if not do you have any advice for me..

I want to get more power and handling.

I currently own a nze121 with a 3zz engine.

4 wheel disc brakes..

Also can i be able to put a turbo in it.

I know anything is possible with the right amount money.

But I'm still a university student and cash isn't very high with me

Would you know if the 2zz-ge throttle body, intake manifold and injectors would be a direct fit to a 4zz-fe motor?
