Would The Sportivo Beat The 'new' Celica?

I was having a discussion with another mate about his celica and my sportivo (since its almost the same car with a different chassis) and he said the celica would out do the sportivo because its lighter. From knowledge, i remember the sportivo being lighter.. but anyhow, is it true that the celica can out do the sportivo (considering driver skill and conditions are the same)

Oh, and I'm about to get my first 1000km service done. Should I replace the engine oil and filter or just do it at 5000km?

It is a very different car, it is lighter and has much better suspension (best FWD track car out there)... Sportivo is a good car with great engine, Celica is an great car with great engine :-).
