Previa Confused Owner

Hi guys

I have just bought a PREVIA T3 D4D,2003.i have no manual for it and the garage i bought it from was not much help with this , hope someone out there can help me.

The key and fob are seperate items the fob has 4 buttons :--top left=lock

top right u/lock

top center yellow button kind of star symbol

bottm centre aux button

my problem is this when i press lock the car lights flash and the horn sounds approx 4 or 5 times and the car is locked, when i press unlock the lights flash and the horn sounds once and car unlocks when i get in i have to press the unlock again to get the ignition lights on and start the engine.When ive done this the display on the radio pulsates but the radio wont turn on without having to fiddle with the buttons.

So my question is this WHAT am i doing wrong please?

Dont think my neighbours will be too happy if i come home late at night ,lock my car and set the horn off 4 or 5 times when i lock up lol any help will be appreciated
