I've noticed mine come on but only once or twice and when i start the car up it dissapears

Comes on if just ignition turned on... perhaps a "Battery discharge" warning would be better... and a countdown to when you will be unable to start the car ;)

I have the same on mine

I believe that is a thing with the Battery warning not to leave it there for a long time

Hi everyone, my Auris had the same problem and is currently at Toyota being fixed. Apparently it's a problem with the start/stop technology and the thermostat (the temperature guage was reading -46!) so I'd recommend getting it fixed ASAP as you don't want to make the problem worse! Mine is a 59 plate so will be covered under the 5 year warranty so check yours out. Good luck fellow Toyotees!

Do you mean the outside temperature reading was -46? The engine temp gauge is just a bar graph.

Just got my new Auris yesterday and I've been noticing this "Charging System" message right before I start the engine. The message will disappear right after then!

I called the Toyota dealer yesterday and it seems it normal. No apparent problems till now....

Are we talking Ign On but engine not started? Then Charging System Warning WILL come on

If we are talking Charging System Warning coming on when the Ign is turned on AND the engine is running then it needs to be looked at, there is a fault

Remember the old days when the Red Ign light came on....same thing
