Oh my god , i would have crapped in my pants if i'd been on that flight , when we touched down at Gatwick last week there was quite a bit of turbulence and it wasn't me :D the plane bounced twice on touchdown which was hair raising enough before the wheels gripped and we trundled to a halt , the plane in the video appears to be approaching and trying to land slightly side on , the pilot eventually aborts the attemt as it swerves left to right on the runway , i wonder when this took place and if the plane did manage to land safely in the end .

Planes always enter slightly sideways, it's known as drafting among other things. I did it once in a Micro-Lite and it was a pretty scary experience.

There are plenty of those around on the internet, wind sheer is a very dangerous thing in aviation

Search for landings at Hong Kongs old Kai Tak airport, pilots have to bank right (almost like a right turn) and then drop in on a runway that was famous for crosswinds, this 747 shows how it's done. My auntie used to live in a flat just short of that runway
