Can a few of me tell me about the barge types of cars that you have driven in the past

When I passed my test many moons ago the first car I went after was a Jeep Cherokee (SJ)

I think it was the 5.9ltr ? I checked it out , checked it over & set my heart on it.

Anyway I called the insurance company to request a quote & (I kid you not)they burst out laughing ! :(

I didn't buy it, I got a 280SE Merc instead.

That is a nice Mercedes .I have driven many "barges"especially when I was in the motor trade(left some 13 years ago).Some of the old Nissans/Datsuns such as Cedric,300C,Laurel,a Jensen Interceptor but one of my favourites was actually the Chevrolet Astro Van(8 seater not day van)which we hired for a months holiday in America about 7 years ago.It was a typical big pushrod V8 which sounded fantastic under full throttle.

I tried to buy one when we returned but then remembered how cheap fuel was in America to here and gave up on the idea

That is very true but there are a few people here that have far larger and smellier shovels than I use

Sadly, at times, I find the frequent drivel rather boring
