Hello guys! New to the forum! Picking up a 01 Tsport this week, lovely little car.....Will only be keeping it for a year tho, noticed it needs a service and new front discs. Ive found on eBay Mintex brakes and discs for around £80, are they decent brakes for the Tsport? Oil, whats the best to go for?/Brand?

Thanks!!

edit - while im at it, the gearbox oil probably be best to change also...What grade do they use?

Welcome to the forum.

The Mintex brakes will be fine for your car, £80 sounds cheap though for discs & pads.

My standard Toyota discs were about £50 each! I must have been  for paying that but they work well and will last.

Oil, i'm using Castrol Edge fully synth at the mo, engine seems to like it so i do.

Not sure on the gearbox oil, i've not changed mine yet....Will do one day though.

Forte stuff spunds okay, bit like Redex and more. Cant see it doing any harm at all. Give it a go and let us know how you get on

It doesn't matter too much what you have as the car is so light. If they feel soft then there is a fault or they are worn.
