Where did you get the panels wrapped or was it just a generic vinyl company ??

Got something in mind but need to confirm price / possibilities ;-)

I got the wrap done by Si @ SJS Design in Essex ... was worth the 2 hour drive each way

PM me if you need his contact details

I used him previously to do my Evo's stripes :

As for what I've got in store for the iQ :

4/9/10 - carbon roof spoiler, carbon rear skirt, carbon front lip, carbon front "vanes"

TBC - black wheels, lowering, interior (carbon leather and alcantara) and if I can find a cost effective solution, replacing the headunit & adding a sub (the ~£450 for official double din fitting parts (not including the double DIN HU) is, in my eyes, extortionate :( )

Scangauge fitted :

iQ3 wheels blackened :

Springs, rear mudflaps, leather interior and stage 2 carbon wrapping still to be done ... but getting there ... slowly but surely ... LOL

will have to go about getting the wheels powder coated black I think at some point too

carbon front lip and intake vanes, carbon rear diffuser and carbon rear spoiler

the wheels looks bigger in black !

planed any tinted windows ?

nah, no plans for tints ... tints would have to be all around and in the UK u can't have dark tint on the windscreen or the front side windows

What is the purpose of carbon wrapping beside the look?

just cosmetic

  • 4 weeks later...

and here is phase 2 :

de-vaned and lip on the front

40118_437390195985_678820985_5719893_7158989_n.jpg

tailgate, rear window strakes and top of tailgate wrapped

46334_437389645985_678820985_5719878_8207443_n.jpg

just the mirrors (again), rear spoiler and diffuser to go ... and then it's lowering springs and leather interior

sorry but the springs are sold ... Barry has them now

as for fitting I'm going to fit the diesel ones to my 1.33 Petrol next weekend I'm free

I have spring compressors and all the tools I need at home ... just gonna get a friend to help

the wrap on the mirrors failed so they'll get done under warranty ... same for one of the corner spats .... I can't praise Simon @ SJS Design in Essex highly enough for the wrapping ... his customer service is 100% and so is his attention to detail and pride in his work

:)

just PM me if you want any contact info (those people in the UK that is)

Wow... u got spring compressor at home.. thats pro.

I can probably do the rear spring installation myself but the front spring seems complicated. I just worry the workshop will charge me extra after they realise the job is not that straight forward.
