hi, i need some advice on this subject. i have a toyota auris 2.0 d4d. I need to replace the wheel bearing on the rear. i have been told that the wheel bearing assembly, on 2.2 d4d is the same as the 2.0 d4d. Can someone out there will the knowledge confirm this for me please. My local garage seems to think that are different. some of the local spares shops cannot confirm this as it is not listed in their catalouges. Mt Toyota is very unhelpful as usual. The reason that i am asing is my frend is breaking a 2.2. d4d so i wanted the rear bearing assembly for my car.

Many thanks

3 year old Toyota needs a wheel bearing?

So its done what 150000 miles?

Our Auris is coming out of warranty and those jokers at Toyota want £450 to extend it.

Think we will buy another Mazda to go with the faultless 3 that sits on the same drive as Toyotas possibly worst offering.

And if you keep Auris you are going to need the warranty or brake your piggy bank to pay for repairs. I am in similar situation. I was thinking about looking at warranty direct and get rid off the car later on.

and if you go to Warranty direct you will buy yourself a warranty that covers mechanical breakdown only and wouldnt pay for a wheel bearing unless it had completely collapsed. Toyota warranty is an EXTENDED manufacturers warranty and completely different to a mechanical, off the peg, breakdown cover warranty

The hub on a 2.0 and 2.2 Auris are different

Kingo
