Avensis Radio Draining The Battery

Hi Everyone, got a problem with my wonderful T4 Avensis estate. The radio is pulling 0.6 amps with the ignition off. With radio disconnected, the pull on the Battery (ignition off) is 0.01 A. If I leave the car for more than 1 day, the Battery is too drained (not surprisingly) to start the car and I have to leave the Battery on trickle charge. Has anyone else had this problem and how have they solved it please?

Obviously a problem with the radio but replacing this is not going to be cheap unless there is a second-hand or non-toyota model suitable. Putting an in-line switch with the radio feed will loose memory have therefore have to be retuned every time it is switched on.

When I first got the car, the dealer said it was kids putting coins in the CD player causing a short and he pretended to fix it. Now the car is way beyond warranty.
