Yep he's right. It's still pretty tight until about 3k. I'd say 5k is when it really starts to loosen up and 15k when its fully there.

Don't worry though, it'll come round soon enough. :unsure:

erm... what sort of difference will there be coz i have done 250 miles so far and it showing 56mpg will i get even better then ?

ps i do love this car... nearly as good as me V6 TD lol lol lol.....

It's more subtle and easier to get 60+ mpg once its run in. Also, you'll slightly adopt your driving style to the Prius using the differnt guages to get the best out of it. Rather than confuse you with how to do this I'd just say drive it as normal to start with and then eventually you'll pick it up. Using ECO can make a teeny weeny difference of a couple mpg's but restricts the a/c and heating too much other than on a motorway run for example. Power is fun and great for overtaking but will cause you to wheel spin on loose or wet roads.

Just enjoy it and don't worry about it to start with. :toast:
