them "holes" already in place at the front...

Could try and wire it up so that they stay shut, (as they are now) wen ur fogs r off, then slide dwn/up when u pop ur fogs on.

A pair of Mk2 MR2 fogs would look sweet cut into the front lower mesh! Same shape.

Just don't drive with them on when it's not foggy - otherwise I'll be forsed to drag you out of your car and issue a beating ..

Ive heard that any cracks or holes in the bumper can fail the MOT, is that correct?

That is not correct.

It will only fail if its in danger of falling to bits.

I voted for cutting holes in the mesh:

1) fog lights should ideally be as low as possible to be of use. In the bumper will reduce their efficiency.

2) putting them in the bumper increases the risk of breaking them in a little car park nudge, as well as increasing the risk of the bumper cracking in a similar nudge on the side or the middle.

3) you aren't likely to find a solid mounting point behind the bumper. If you try to mount them on plastic they will fall off fairly quickly, likely damaging the bumper in the process.

4) it's not too easy to cut neat round holes in bumpers. There's the shock absorbing stuff behind as well normally.

Pardon? Is it because it's in Manchester and it 'gathers dust'?

Or maybe you need to go to the opticians?!

I agree with you, but I dont wanna hurt the lower mesh

I don't know how the mesh is held on, but I'd say that it would be cheaper to replace it than the whole bumper if you get it wrong, or if you want to take them off at a later date.

^ That would be the best place but if I were you I would rather cut through the mesh than any of the bodywork / plastic.

They definately need to be lower than the bumper or you will get no better than the original lights just maybe a bit more glare.

That is DEFINATELY where I would put them!

Course - would have them evenly spaced NOT like the pic is!!!

.... would put at the distance the right hand side one is on the pic
