Today i bought a stubby ariel for my Aygo but i cant seem to get the old on off, ive tried wrapping a cloth around and used pliers and mole grips to unscrew it but it just ripped the plastic on the ariel and i dont want to try to hard incase i pull the full base off the roof

Does anybody have any advice or anything?

I had this problem with my old car.

after fighting with it for ages, my wife came and got it off easy peasy with her tiny hands!

so ask your Mrs!

Ive got small hand myself :P just would not come off going to try some WD40 tomorrow and have another go and hopefully not rip it out the roof in anger haha :P cant believe how tight it is :(

Spray it with WD40 tonight to give it chance to work in before you try it tomorrow thumbsup.gif

I was going to use my mates cause i dont have any, how long will it take to work in?

Try TIGHTENING it a wee bit. that might just be enough to break the

chemical bond that's caused by different metals touching when wet..
