Hi, I am looking at purchasing a Avensis T3X D4D 2.0 Diesel 2005. I just want to know whether anyone can confirm if this model is belt or chain and after what miles should it be changed (car has done over 70k). Ta

Hi mate

That one will be belt-driven, not chain. The new engine came in mid 2006, as far as I know. You can easily tell anyway - does it have the indicators in the wing mirrors? If so, it's a 2006-on facelift model with the new engine, if not, then it's the older belt-driven engine.

Cheers

M
