Auris Hybrid Servicing Cost

Hi all,

Just thinking about getting a service plan to cover the servicing on my Auris Hybrid. My dealer has quoted me 3 services for £496.57. (£21.59 over 23 months). He says its good value, and compares it against the Prius services:

S1 = 175.95

S2 = 248.95 + 39.95

S3 = 206.95 + 54.85

Total = £726.65

Sounds ok to me, but I've been caught out in the past on these service plans (being charged for brake fluid changes thinking there were included in the price etc). I'm assuming the Auris Hybrid servicing will be near on identical to the Prius, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that Toyota claim the Auris should be same cost as a 1 litre Yaris.

Can anyone confirm the costs for the Auris Hybrid services?

Thanks.

I was quoted £148 services 1 and 3; and £248 for service 2 = £544. I thought mine was a bit high but wanted a figure to budget for.

If the Auris hybrid is like the Prius, there won't be much to do at a service so prices should be similar.

However, those prices are a bit more than my dealer charges for a gen3 Prius. Ashpole's figures are more like it.

Have a word with Grumpy Cabbie. He is up your way and is on his third service so knows how much it should be for comparison.

  • 2 years later...

Why its always service book missing?? why not manual or key, yes sometime logbook missing....

anyway when I bought car (from Toyaota dealer)I receive 2 service book one found inside the car one

from manual folder, both service book different dealer and no service record, book look new same hand writing. its prove that someone has mess up with milage. dont know whats going on.... at Toyaota.

If you have two partially completed service books and no service record, I cannot see how these can be proof that the mileage has been altered.

By the sound of it, the selling dealer probably didn't realise there was a service book inside the car, and issued a replacement.

I have a 3 year service plan for our Prius. ALL service items are covered including fluids oils etc. I shall renew the service plan next year and if I do change the car the plan is transferred to the other car. I think it is a good scheme.

Fixed price servicing is on the Toyota website for intermediate, full and full+

Yaris Hybrid, Prius 1.5L £129 £199 £259

Auris Hybrid, Prius 1.8L, Prius+, Prius Plug-in £139 £209 £269

I believe these stay fixed for the term of your service agreement, though I would still ask what 'extra' like brake fluid etc they also charge. The agreement might also contain a bit extra for finance or inflation so may be slightly different to the above quotes?

It should be

S1 10k/1 year £139

S2 20k/2 year £199+£39 for brake fluid

S3 30k/3 year £139

£516 in total assuming the car is brand new.

Do these plans lock you into a specific dealer?

Yes they do, but if there is a group, it ties you into the group so you might get a choice of places to take it to

If it is a single site, you would be tied to that site

Do the service costs for services 4, 5 and 6 at 40, 50 and 60k mirror those for services 1, 2 and 3?

I ask because I have mine on a 3 year, 20k per annum lease plan and want to know how much I'm saving :D
