Hi Everyone

I was just wondering if anyone has bought the official toyota ipod kit for the aygo and what there opinions are on it?

Does it fully work through the stereo like choosing artists etc. I've got a classic 160gb so i have got a lot of albums on it and if i can't fully scroll through artists albums etc it will be a waste of time.

Thanks

We just bought a £3 lead from eBay - it works a treat

I don't think you can scroll through :-/ what I normally do is make a playlist before I set off, and then just plug the iPhone into the stereo via the 3.5mm jack :)

IMHO? Waste of time and money. You can select playlists and artists through

the buttons on the OEM radio, but you can;t see what you're doing!

The display is capable of text, but the system does

NOT get the text from the iPod to the Display.

So you're pretty much flying blind and on a 160GB,

you'll spend hours trying to find that one particular song,

as you can't even skip 3 songs at once, you have to wait

for a song to load before "next" does anything...

If you want to have proper use of your iPod, get an after market

stereo with "Ipod Direct or "USB-direct or whatever.

Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine, JVC, all proper brands have a couple

of systems that let you use your iPod in your car

without the hassle and cost of the OEM system.

Thanks everone for your replys.

Especially jan as that is the info that i wanted.

It looks like i will stock to using the 3.5mm cable or i will have to upgrade the stereo.

Cheers again
