Boosting And Fuelling

Hiya everyone.

I fitted my GReddy boost gauge this weekend and have turned my boost up as a result (rev 3 turbo).

My car had a bleed valve for a start so I'm currently just using that. Although this valve only seems to allow me to bleed enough off to run 1.0 BAR tops. Think a g-valve is in order....

Anyway, two things....

1) should my boost now peak and drop the higher the revs go?

2) I think my car is overfuelling a lot as a result of this as I often get a flame pop out of the exhaust on gear changes now. It's quite cool, but is this ok for the engine?

Cheers

Matt

I'm not sure on the limits of a bleed .. but when my G-valve didn't go high enough, I took t apart, gently streached the spring longer and put it back. Worked wonders.

On a rev3 I wouldn't expect the boost to drop (that's a rev1/2 trait) .. but with a bleed valve anything is possible ..

Yea it's weird. Think I'd better get in contact with Matt and get a g-valve!

What about the flames out of my exhaust? I take it that's from overfuelling? It does it every now and again when I'm thrashing it and change gear...

it'll be extra fuel lighting up off a hot exhaust .. should be fine (not cat friendly - but I don't like cats)

Me neither, I threw mine away :P

My car is so much quicker now! Was playing with a brand new WRX STi on saturday - he was only beating me on his launches, bye bye after that :D
