Brake Pads

Hi - nearly 50000 miles since Dec 2006 so I am expecting to replace the pads soon, does a warning light show when they need replacing or will it be advice at the 50K service. Thank you

No warning lights Richard but they do have screech indicators (a piece of bent metal that rubs on the disc and causes them to squal like a pig!). However, you can see all the pads and you really want to get them before they squeal as that could be half way through the service period. I recently serviced a March 2006 XT3 and the rears were more worn than the fronts so keep that in mind. They were right down close the backplates so we did those and the fronts will probably want doing at the next service.

Hi Richard, I changed the pads on my 06 T180 at 36K. When you do change them, there are 2 sizes of Pad available for the fronts. 1st 'law of sod' says you will get the wrong ones like me... Just to let you know.
